How I Work
I create a safe, supportive space where clients feel respected and understood. My practice is trauma-informed and adversity-aware, which means I pay close attention to safety, trust, and collaboration. While not everyone I see identifies as having experienced trauma, many have faced adversity in different forms. My role is to walk alongside someone as they make sense of these experiences and move forward.
As an Educational Psychologist, I bring expertise in learning, development, and human behaviour. This allows me to consider the whole person in their context; not just symptoms, but also strengths, values, relationships, and environments. I take a strengths-based and culturally-responsive perspective, helping people to recognise the skills, values and resilience they already hold.
I tailor each session to suit your needs. I draw on evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI). These approaches provide practical tools for managing challenges, making sense of experiences, and moving forward in meaningful ways.
